  • What is it?

The Mummy MOT is a specialist postnatal assessment delivered by a trained osteopath who has completed a registered Mummy MOT course. It provides a thorough and clinically informed evaluation following childbirth, including assessment of posture, core strength, pelvic floor function, and overall movement. The Mummy MOT is based on evidence led pelvic health rehabilitation, which has been shown to reduce pain, improve pelvic floor function, and lower the risk of long term postnatal complications.

Suitable after both vaginal birth and caesarean section, this session combines expert guidance, hands on treatment, and a personalised rehabilitation plan to support your recovery, restore confidence, and help you return to exercise safely.

    We can support you with:

    • Pelvic, lower back, or hip pain

    • Incontinence or leakage

    • Symptoms of prolapse or heaviness

    • C section or episiotomy scar discomfort

    • Abdominal separation

    • Postural, mobility, or strength concerns

    • Returning to exercise after birth

The Mummy MOT is typically recommended from 6 to 8 weeks postnatal, however it can be carried out at any stage following childbirth.
